This is particularly important when trying to access sites related to education or news, as they are often heavily restricted in certain countries. Aside from providing anonymity and security when traveling abroad, there are several other advantages of using a VPN. A VPN will allow you to stream geo-blocked content from leading streaming providers like Netflix or Hulu. With a reliable VPN provider, you can connect to their servers located around the world and access movies and shows that would otherwise be unavailable without one.
Moreover, with virtual IPs associated with specific countries – say the US – you’re able to purchase goods less expensively by seeming like you’re buying from somewhere else than where you really are. Prevention of price discrimination based on location is yet another bonus offered by purchasing items through a virtual network instead of directly online.
